Ms. Cervera began her academic journey at the Community College of Philadelphia where she earned an associate\u2019s degree in applied science. She completed an internship at the office of council woman Donna Reed Miller in the City Hall of Philadelphia as a bilingual office clerk, where, Ms. Cervera took phone messages, did data entry, and was a Spanish-language liaison. Ms. Cervera also earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration from Strayer University. Ms. Cervera earned a certification in industrial relations from the Comey Institute at St. Joseph\u2019s University, followed by a public notary license for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She earned a Federal Emergency Management Agency certification from the Department of Homeland Security. Ms. Cervera\u2019s professional career started in 2002. She taught bilingual computer classes at the Comey Institute of Saint Joseph\u2019s University and worked as an immigration assistant for the law firm of Orlow &amp; Orlow. Ms. Cervera was also an accountant for Strayer University. In 2011, she joined the federal government at the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Cervera has held different positions including assistant manager and has participated in developing new programs for the agency. She has worked closely with many people across the United States. She is committed to serving her community and improving the welfare of the people, especially of her local Peruvian community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-014d8db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"014d8db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Yunelly Cervera<\/strong> emigr\u00f3 a los Estados Unidos en 1991 desde su Per\u00fa natal. La Sra. Cervera comenz\u00f3 su trayectoria acad\u00e9mica en el Community College de Philadelphia, donde obtuvo su t\u00edtulo de Asociada en Ciencias Aplicadas. Complet\u00f3 su Licenciatura en Administraci\u00f3n de Empresas en la Universidad Strayer y realiz\u00f3 una pasant\u00eda en la oficina de la concejala Donna Reed Miller, en la Municipalidad de Filadelfia, desempe\u00f1\u00e1ndose como asistente administrativa biling\u00fce; all\u00ed se encargaba de recibir mensajes telef\u00f3nicos, ingresar datos y actuar como enlace hispanohablante para ayudar al p\u00fablico que visitaba la oficina para presentar quejas e inquietudes. La Sra. Cervera obtuvo una certificaci\u00f3n en Relaciones Industriales del Instituto Comey de la Universidad Saint Joseph, seguida de una licencia de Notario P\u00fablico para el estado de Pensilvania. Asimismo, obtuvo una certificaci\u00f3n de la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias otorgada por el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional. La carrera profesional de la Sra. Cervera comenz\u00f3 en 2002, impartiendo inicialmente clases biling\u00fces de inform\u00e1tica en el Instituto Comey de la Universidad Saint Joseph; posteriormente, trabaj\u00f3 como asistente de inmigraci\u00f3n en el bufete de abogados Orlow &amp; Orlow y, m\u00e1s tarde, como contadora en la Universidad Strayer. En 2011, se incorpor\u00f3 al gobierno federal, espec\u00edficamente al Servicio de Impuestos Internos, donde ocup\u00f3 diversos cargos incluyendo el de subgerente y particip\u00f3 en el desarrollo de nuevos programas para la agencia. La Sra. Cervera ha trabajado en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con personas de todos los Estados Unidos. Est\u00e1 comprometida con el servicio a su comunidad y con la atenci\u00f3n a las necesidades de la ciudadan\u00eda, brindando un apoyo especial a su comunidad peruana local.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88005b9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"88005b9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Pilar Marav\u00ed, Ph.D.<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dcdc842 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dcdc842\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>La Dra. Maravi<\/strong> was born in Lima, Peru.\u00a0 She graduated as an architect from the School of Architecture and Engineering Science of the Sacred Heart University for Women in Lima, Peru. Dr. Marav\u00ed relocated to the United States in 1996 and obtained a master\u2019s degree and a doctorate in literature and medieval art from Temple University in Philadelphia.\u00a0 She is currently a professor at Thomas Jefferson, Temple and Arcadia universities in Pennsylvania and at Emory and Henry University in Virginia. Dr. Marav\u00ed authored the book <em>Del Cielo a la tierra: Gonzalo de Berceo, Signos que aparecer\u00e1n antes del Juicio Final, y sus Nexus con la Arquitectura Medieval Espa\u00f1ola<\/em>, published in 2021.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-659facb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"659facb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>La Dra. Maravi<\/strong> es peruana y se gradu\u00f3 como arquitecta de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Ciencias de la Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n, Lima, Per\u00fa. Cuando migr\u00f3 a los EE.UU. en 1996, ella empez\u00f3 una nueva vida y profesi\u00f3n obteniendo una maestr\u00eda y un doctorado en Literatura y Arte Medievales de la Facultad de Artes Liberales de la Universidad de Temple en Filadelfia. Actualmente la Dra. Marav\u00ed es profesora en las universidades: Thomas Jefferson, Temple y Arcadia en Pensilvania, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n en la Universidad Emory and Henry en Virginia.\u00a0 En 2021, ella public\u00f3 el libro<em> Del Cielo a la tierra: Gonzalo de Berceo, Signos que aparecer\u00e1n antes del Juicio Final y sus Nexos con la Arquitectura Medieval Espa\u00f1ola.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1990187 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1990187\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Katherin Sibel, MSUP<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b2f2ffb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b2f2ffb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Katherin Sibel Maravi<\/strong> has been involved in various Peruvian-American organizations since an early age and is a member of Peruvian Americans Together Here (PATHere) since its founding. Exposure and participation in PATHere&#8217;s cultural and service programming throughout her life greatly influenced her as a community leader, and career path in her decision to study international relations, environmental science, and community planning in University of Puerto Rico, American University, and Columbia University.<\/p><p>Currently, she works as a Community Climate Resiliency Coordinator for NYC&#8217;s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. As a researcher, she embraces her indigenous identity to approach topics such as climate resilience during extreme heat, flooding, and its impact on community health. Previously, she was a community planning reservist with the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist communities in long-term disaster recovery discussions after hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, Oregon wildfires, and the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p><p>Ms. Sibel carries her Peruvian-American identity with her to create climate health programs in coordination with NYC Department of Health&#8217;s Center for Equity and Wellness and other agencies such as NYC&#8217;s Mayor&#8217;s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice and NYC Office of Emergency Management.<\/p><p>Also, she enjoys representing Peruvian culture through dance-marinera nortena and festejo-to share and connect with the Andean diaspora<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b36390 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1b36390\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Katherin Sibel Maravi<\/strong> ha estado vinculada en varias organizaciones peruano-estadounidenses desde temprana edad y es miembro de la organizaci\u00f3n Peruvian Americans Together Here (PATHere) desde su fundaci\u00f3n. El aprendizaje y la participaci\u00f3n en sus programas culturales influyeron profundamente en su desarrollo como l\u00edder comunitaria, as\u00ed como en su decisi\u00f3n de estudiar Relaciones Internacionales, Estudios Ambientales y Planificaci\u00f3n Comunitaria en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, la American University y la Columbia University.\u00a0<\/p><p>Actualmente, se desempe\u00f1a como Coordinadora de Resiliencia Clim\u00e1tica Comunitaria en el Departamento de Salud e Higiene Mental de la ciudad de Nueva York (NYC). Como investigadora, abraza su identidad ind\u00edgena para investigar temas de resiliencia clim\u00e1tica, tales como el calor extremo, las inundaciones y su impacto en la salud comunitaria. Previamente, como Reservista de Planificaci\u00f3n Comunitaria en la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias de los EE. UU.
