In Commemoration of the Bicentennial of Peru's Independence

PATHere.org has prepared a series of events to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Peru’s independence from Spain. Since July 28, 1821, Peru has been a free and independent nation, and for this bicentennial, PATHere.org has developed a series of programs to keep alive the memory of events, places, and major figures in Peru’s history of independence. These programs include a series of three webinars entitled “Ancient Peru: 5000 Years of History,” on July 26, 28, and 30, a virtual presentation, “Independence, Bicentennial and Future,” on July 27, the Peruvian Flag Raising Ceremony, on July 28, and an interview, “Ceviche: Cultural Patrimony of Peru,” on July 29. Through these programs, PATHere.org seeks to promote Peru’s history, culture, and heritage. For more information about these programs, please review our Events Calendar. All are welcome to attend these programs transmitted via Zoom and Facebook Live.

This July 28th, PATHere.org wishes you Felices Fiestas Patrias. ¡Viva el Peru!
